Sew With Distinction, Pleats and Tucks

As promised here are a few scans from my Sew With Distinction book, by Sears and Roebuck, 1956.
I love these detailed diagrams of pleats and tucks. Details such as these can take a garment from every-day to couture. There is a whole crazy world of couture pleating out there I learned in my Paris Mastser Class,
when we visited a couturier pleater and got to have some of our own fabric pleated, Amazing! I used a sunburst pleat on my garment. (See below). I will share more from this book, including the baby clothes section, in posts to come. Cheers!
